ABSTRACT

Two species and one subspecies are described as new: Trichobius machadoallisoni sp. n., from Pteronotus personatus, is a member of caecus group, and closely related to T. bilobus Wenzel, 1976; however, T. machadoallisoni has the syntergite 1+2 lightly convex and with more than 21 setae. Trichobius anducei sp. n., from Carollia perspicillata, a member of parasiticus complex, differs from all other species in having a strip of long lateral connexival setae, in the number and position of setae in tergite 7 and epiproct in females, in the shape of gonopods, the number of setae in syntergosternite 7+8 and tergite 9 in males. Trichobius dugesioides phyllostomus subsp. n., from Phyllostomus elongatus differs from T. d. dugesioides Wenzel, 1966 in having more denticles in male gonopods and longer posterior setae in the tergite 7 of females. Trichobius d. dugesioides is redescribed, showing sexual dimorphism in distribution of microtrichia in the presutural area of scutum. Some morphotypes of Trichobius joblingi Wenzel, 1966 are compared with Trichobius persimilis Wenzel, 1976, reducing geographical distribution of the latter to the North of Orinoco river.
