A new form of Lateracanthus quadripedis Kabata et Gusev, 1966 (Copepoda, Poecilostomatoida, Chondracanthidae) and a new species, Paeon triakis (Copepoda, Siphonostomatoida, Sphyriidae) are described and illustrated. The former, Lateracanthus quadripedis f. intermedius, is characterised by the position of its biramous legs on the leg-bearing processes. It was found on the gills of Coryphaenoides delsolari Chirichigno et Iwamoto, 1977 (Pisces) off the coast of northern Chile and is identical with the specimens of L. quadripedis recorded by Ho (1975). This find extends its distribution range from Galapagos to the Chilean coast. The later, Paeon triakis sp. n., was found on the gills of Triakis maculata (Kner et Steindachner, 1866) and Mustelus mento Cope, 1877, caught off Antofagasta, Chile. Its discovery provides the first record of Paeon off the Pacific coast of South America.
